1.        Call to order at  1400

2.       Meeting Minutes approved by Johnny Delgado and seconded by Jim Howard

3.       Treasurer’s report-service charge  12/31/01- 1981.07

4.       Educational provider number is retained by The Florida Flight Nurse Provider . The process for CEU records along with membership are maintained by John Scott. He has received the new provider number and encourages is turning over that responsibility in the near future.

5.       State Office Report-President’s Report

·       Orlando established through fund raising a new building-Center for

      Learning/ Theatrical Lab/Classroom/Apartment Skills Lab/Board of

                        ACLS/BTLS . Classes, Paramedic Program’s,Board Certified for Family

Practice Physician’s EMS fellow’s Program . Approximately 40 Programs over a 2-5 year plan. Plan to be built in 3 years It will be located between Orange County and Orlando Airport . This is a National Learning Center Concept.

·         The Fl. State EMS Advisory Board Position’s vacancies:

                                                                          Non fire service

                                                                          Physician

·         Steve Deerwater Epidemiologist-University of Pa.

·         Diversion Staffing Specialty on call coverage is in review. A Trauma Systems Study is being done by Dr. Brooks office

·         Patsy Paschall moved to the Division of Family Services

·         Al Hundon has moved to Okaloosa County

·         Freida Travis- Rule package with public meetings February 6,2001 COPCN issues will be addressed.

·         May 20 through May 26,2001 Theme is EMS Answering the Call

·         Okaloosa County joined Quarterly Prehospital agreement to 2002 reporting system. Data Linkage is a continuation grant to resolve the reg. with trauma.

·         Statewide Trauma dictionary available.

·         Deadline for Matching Grant’s was February 5,2001 @ 1500 hours in Tallahassee.

·         City Grants program  with availability of 4.3 million dollars.

·         Lisa Vanderwerf is now responsible for the Maternal Child Health PEP Crossover Course.

·         National EMS-C Day Feb.5

·         EMS-C Award April 27 Timely Injured Prevention Award

·         Florida State Kids Coalition End September

·         EMS State Plan –Transformation Committee with the constituency groups- 5 year plan

·         Abuse of 911 of public access/Kirk and Kearns are the researching contact team.

            6.   Old Business

·         Pre- Conference Topic AMTC (Orlando Florida) ATLS $300.00 Jim Howard motioned for AMTC Pre-conference ATLS Course.   Johnny Delgado seconded. Contact person is Michelle Kenley/President Elect NFNA/ Bayflite , 701 Sixth St. So. #727-893-6010.

·         Newborn Bill- Oct. 1,2000 law allows parent to drop off less than three day infant’s without notice at fire department. The Department of FL Children will provide logo 12 in. to say Safe Baby Center or Baby Diaper House in Back

7.       New Business

·         July an amending glitch bill

·         February National Flight Nurses Association web site

·         Web based recertification process for EMT and Paramedics

·         Trauma  Committee is working on a 5 year plan including AHCA,CMS Plan, Emergency College of Surgeons Standards for Injury Prevention

·         2001 Industry Awards at the 2001 AMTC Orlando Florida.
