well-respected flight nurse who, in 1994, succumbed to Cancer. As an
organization, we initiated and presented the first award to her family at the Clin-Con Conference in

Julie Bacon
Julie has been a transport nurse for the Pediatric and Neonatal population for over 15 years, has taught many aspects of flight physiology and safety, team motivational management and pediatric/neonatal issues on a national level. Julie continues to be an active member at in many organizations to better the air medical industry.

A Flight Nurse since 1990 with fixed wing and then with TGH-Aeromed, Missy moved on to Vanderbilt LifeFlight then on to Texas in 1993. Missy came to FirstFlight in 1996 and continues to be an influential member of the flight team, sharing her clinical expertise, participates on many committees and promotes a positive example of a transport medical professional. She is an invaluable resource of information.
